# Install Brudcast forms on Shopify

> Add the popup site script to your Shopify theme, and embed a form in a section with a Custom Liquid block.

On Shopify, add the site script once in your theme so popups can show on every page, and use a
**Custom Liquid** block wherever you want an embedded form.

> **Before you start:** for popups, add your store's addresses under
> **Contacts > Forms > Websites**: your custom domain and, if visitors use it, your
> `your-store.myshopify.com` address. Copy the website's install snippet. For an embedded form,
> publish it and copy its embed code from the **Share** tab.

## Install the site script

**Custom Liquid in the theme editor**

This route doesn't touch your theme's code, so theme updates keep it.

**1. Open the theme editor**

In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes** and select **Customize** on your live
theme.

**2. Add a Custom Liquid section to the footer**

In the footer area, which appears on every page, select **Add section** and choose
**Custom Liquid**.

**3. Paste the snippet and save**

Paste the install snippet into the **Custom Liquid** box, then select **Save**:

The footer group isn't shown on every template in every theme. If popups don't appear on
some pages, such as checkout, that's because Shopify doesn't let themes add scripts there.

**theme.liquid**

**1. Open the code editor**

Go to **Online Store > Themes**, open the **…** menu on your live theme and select
**Edit code**.

**2. Edit theme.liquid**

Under **Layout**, open `theme.liquid`. Paste the install snippet on the line before
`</head>`.

**3. Save**

Select **Save**. Open your store and check the website changes to **Connected**.

>
> Changes to `theme.liquid` don't carry over when you switch or update themes. Add the snippet
> again after either.

## Embed a form

1. In the theme editor, open the page or template where the form goes.
2. Select **Add section** (or **Add block** inside a section) and choose **Custom Liquid**.
3. Paste the form's embed code and select **Save**:
